We make it easy for you to realize your dream experience. For your outdoor kayak getaway, you can rent a kayak and most of the necessary equipment for your trip along Roskilde Fjord. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag and food. We provide access to high-quality equipment and the necessary tips and tricks for a successful trip.
We ensure you have all the necessary equipment and a map of the overnight options along the fjord. There are campsites, shelters, tent sites, and even the possibility to sleep on a mat by the shore. You must plan your trip around the fjord based on how far you want to go and what you wish to see. Some places allow you to book a shelter in advance, while others do not. You’ll get the full adventure where you won’t always know what will happen, so you need to be prepared to find solutions. This also means you should have kayaking and some outdoor experience before we can send you off on an adventure at Roskilde Fjord. You should have experience with kayaking, preferably an IPP2 certificate, but it is not required if you have the same level and can perform self-rescue.
You should have some outdoor experience and be ready to find solutions as needed.
You decide, as long as you like.
However not between October 1. and March 31. as we are closed during this period.
We have no control over that, so you need to take your own precautions.
If the wind is more than 6 m/s, we will not send you out. You can either cancel entirely or wait and shorten your trip. We cannot guarantee that it will be possible to extend it on the other end, but it usually is.
2 days / 1 night: DKK 950 / person
Subsequent days: DKK 250 / person
Delivery / Pickup of equipment at other locations by agreement: DKK 350 + DKK 2.5 per km traveled to/from Vigen Strandpark
Payment for the entire rental period must be made before the equipment is used.
A deposit of DKK 1500 must be paid at the time of rental, regardless of the rental duration. The deposit will be refunded upon return of all equipment in undamaged condition. If there is damage to the equipment, the deposit will be refunded after the extent of the damage has been assessed.
Valid photo identification with address must be presented at the beginning of the rental period.
The renter is responsible for replacing any damaged or lost equipment.
The renter is solely responsible for theft insurance.
The equipment must be returned cleaned. Water is available at our camp at Vigen for cleaning purposes.
It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that the equipment functions correctly. It is the renter’s responsibility to use the equipment correctly.
It is solely the renter’s responsibility to embark on the outdoor getaway as described here.
The owner reserves the right to refuse the renter from going out if unfavorable weather conditions or other safety concerns arise.
